** DEPOSIT TAKEN ** 1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. This is the one everyone wants. Flared arch model with the classic chrome bumper look. Caribbean Blue with a contrasting beige interior.
This is a very presentable car in arguably the best colour combination. Benefiting from quite a lot of recent expenditure, the car is ready to be enjoyed and driven.
There are a few little jobs remaining but nothing major. In the last few months the following work has been carried out,
Hydraulic service
Calipers overhauled
Flexy hoses replaced
New battery
All tyres replaced
Rocker cover gaskets replaced
Centre exhaust replaced
Ignition system completely replaced
New floats and filters in the carbs
New SU fuel pump (electronic version)
Choke stove pipes replaced
Engine service
I'm sure there's more but these are the important items!
Having had all this done, the car starts, drives and stops very well.
The car has its original service book pack with a large quantity of stamps up around 2005. It then had a period of time off the road until it was recommissioned and mot'd last year. It also retains its toolkit and jack etc
The body and paintwork is very nice. The rear bumper corners could do with rechroming as they have split where the mounting bracket is attached.
The interior is a lovely place to be. Air con is cold. Leather is good with no wear or damage. Still has a Blaupunkt stereo as well as an eight track player (working). Electric aerial works. Front windows work quickly and smoothly. Rears are temperamental at the moment. I'll try to get a look at them as they were working fine. Rear door cappings could do with re laquering . No damage to the veneer.
There's nothing quite like gliding around in a Rolls Royce. This gets so much attention, it's just fabulous!
