Description
1983 BMW 635csi Sharknose,
True barn find
The car has been dry stored for 19 years since one of the crank sensors had gone with good intention to repair, but never got done.
I've been told the engine was replaced about 21 years ago with a lower mileage example
Just prior to the sensor going it had 2 new front wings and a full respray. The car panels are very straight apart from the roof which has started to bubble around the sunroof. The rear sills need some welding from what I can see, so this is a spares or repair sale.
I have run a quick jet wash over the car and a quick wipe down of the interior only as it was very dusty.
To see if I could get her to run, I have fitted 2 new crank position sensors, new fuel pump, new fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. She now runs and cuts out straight away.
With easy start she will run for a bit longer, been told to check the injectors next.
In the car I found some old manuals and a service book with stamps, but the pages are stuck together and don't want to try myself to split the pages and risk damaging them more.
This is all the paperwork I have with the car. A receipt will be provided and you will need to apply for the V5 which is £25.
As a non runner the car will need to be recovered and cash on collection is preferred.
I am happy to send you any pics of anything specific you need to see on the car or answer any questions, but best would be if you came to view. True barn find, in one of the best colours
