Description
A65 Lightning Rocket semi bobber project, 1969 frame, 1965 engine, borrani rims, conical rear hub, later alloy forks. BSAOC Vehicle report and dating certificate. Fully road legal and registered, runs and rides well as a fun bike.
Depending on taste, it could be transformed into whatever you need, the engine was rebuilt 1000 miles ago, the basics are there and I have the V5 in my name, This was a bike which, with a different engine, went to the USA in 1967 but was returned unsold only to be updated in 1969 and sent back to the USA for sale. The current engine was also part of a bike sent for sale to the USA in 1965. Both the bikes went to the same dealer in New York apparently. How these major parts came back from the USA is unknown, but together they form this bike.
Using the BSA Owners Club service a DVLA age related registration has been allocated to the bike.
