1976 Porsche 911 targa in perfect condition, fully restored. The car was first sold in the US and kept by the same owner for more than 20 years. The restoration was carried out in Italy, screw by screw, with the car totally disassembled. All the specifications of the European model were followed. The bodywork was sound without rust and undamaged (Californian car) and the paint was removed down to the metal. Then the car was painted in its original 700 black colour. Every single mechanical component was disassembled, inspected and overhauled. All screws have been galvanised following the original tropicalized passivation, front and rear train totally overhauled with new oil seals bearings and gaskets. Brakes are new (discs, pads, hoses, brake master cylinder, calipers, etc.). The engine has been totally disassembled and overhauled following all the improvements suggested by porsche for the restoration of 2. 7s in order to make it reliable. The car is fitted with new Dunlop Sport Classic tyres and SSI stainless steel exhaust manifolds. There are still optionals that were fitted from the start (as per the present porsche certificate): black look delete kit carrera style, bilstein sports dampers, fog lights and fuchs wheels. The brakes are totally new (new pump, discs, pads, tubes etc). The engine was totally disassembled and overhe-rauled following all Porsche guidelines and all suggested improvements for the 2. 7 engine to make it more reliable. The car is fitted with new Dunlop classic tires. Last, the complete exhaust system is new with special stainless steel headers (SSI). Car had been delivered with some available options that are still present: fog lights, black look chrome delete (as for Carrera models), Bilstein shock absorbers and Fuchs rims. Porsche certificate present as well of all the parts invoices and restoration book. I am a collector from Lake Como and restore classic cars for passion. The porsche 911 2. 7 s represents the perfect combination of the early 911 models, of which it retains the narrow-sided bodywork, and the later models with the reliable k jetronic injection. The car, with its fantastic magnesium 2. 7 deriving from the RS version, is great fun to drive and, thanks to the tinny sound of its engine and its light weight, gives emotions now lost with modern cars.
