I owned this GTi back in the early 2000s, and as a nice original, unmolested example with great history I took the opportunity to buy it back again in early 2008. Since then it has not been used at all and just carefully dry stored. Now, after 17 years of ownership I've made the reluctant decision to pass this little GTi on to a new owner to use and enjoy.
In readiness for sale, the engine has had a replacement cambelt kit and water pump, fresh coolant, new oil and filter and fuel filter. The brakes have also been serviced, brake fluid renewed and a new battery fitted. It doesn't currently have an MOT, but this can be arranged.
This example is in fantastic original unmodified condition. The paintwork isn't perfect, but it's very good and more than presentable. The interior is excellent, with the cloth sports seats in great condition for their age. It has factory fitted PAS, sunroof and central locking, along with the original pepper pot alloy wheels.
There isn't any corrosion on the underside, but there is one very small welding repair on the front floor pan area which was carried out around twenty years ago!The car itself comes with a large amount of history, every MOT certificate (up until 2008 when it was taken off the road) and the original invoice from 1990 (Renwicks Peugeot, Plymouth). The invoice shows that the original owner also specified dealer fitted mudflaps, floor mats and rear reflective decal, and all of these are still fitted. The complete Peugeot book pack and service booklet is also present.
Its now time for this GTi to get back on the road.
