Classic racing or trackday complete kit. My OW01 is for sale along with a significant quantity of parts.
This is the ex Dennis Trollope Racing/ Fowlers bike used by Steve Williams at the TT and some World Superbike rounds in around 1990
I bought this from Dennis in
1993, and used it on UK short circuits and the MGP, with the last outing in 1997.
The bike was refreshed for a classic trackday in 2024 (Donington) and behaved faultlessly.
Engine is a kitted Yamaha, as built by DTR, but now has Wiseco pistons in, with a MGP under their belt. Forks rebuilt by Maxton for IOM use, Maxton steering damper. Large petrol tank for TT use.
The bike could do with a cosmetic refresh, but comes with many spares see photos. These include a spare pair of wheels, various barrels, crankshafts, carburettor sets etc etc and even a set of unused Yamaha pistons with rings, as well as many of the roadgoing parts that were removed when the bike was first built. Also a couple of spare fairings.
Included an extra FZR1000Exup engine (unknown history) and a YZF750 engine (needs a top end refresh)
I registered the bike (for insurance purposes), so it comes with a V5 in my name. Two owner example of Yamaha's sublime homologation special. I have realised I'm too old to do it justice, so over to you. True WSB bike of the era, and a lovely ride.
