Description
I have decided I can't hang on to my lovely A7SS any longer! I love her but when I rebuilt her over the Covid year I was in good physical health. Now I find that she is just too heavy for me.(i'm now 72 years old and not very big!)
I bought her in Dec 2019 and registered her in Feb 2020
I wanted to build her as a rideable classic in excellent condition but not a show-pony or trailer queen! I think I have achieved that but at a huge cost!! Just short of £5000 on parts etc + the original cost of the bike. Oooops!
I have all the receipts but basically every nut and bolt has been gone through. Frame powder coated, engine rebuilt, gearbox rebuilt, Clutch centre and plates replaced, crank primary drive shock absorber replaced, new exhaust system. Magneto rebuilt, Dynamo rebuilt, new voltage regulator, battery, seat foam and cover, fork seals, bushes and seal carriers, refurbed speedo (hence mileage shown), new wiring loom and much more. Repainted apart from tank as I have been waiting to get one with better chrome.
Wheels rebuilt with new rims and spokes, tyres and brakes sorted. All new cables etc.
She rides and goes beautifully.
The photos were taken before the new oil filter had arrived but I can assure you that it was fitted before first start up! Also fitted was a new SRM oil pump and pick up filter and plate. Please ask me for any further information.
I think I have successfully resurrected this old girl and get lots of interest and compliments even though she is not quite a show bike. (could be easily achieved if the new owner wanted ).
I had intended keeping her and getting another project but I have nearly dropped her a couple times just getting her in and out of the garage so its time for a 250cc 2 stroke!
