Description
For sale is my superb E24 635Csi, finished in Bronze with contrasting Pearl leather. Supplied new on 25th July 1986 by Colver and Hencher BMW ltd for the grand price of £27650.
It and remains and absolutely stunning car with as much presence now as it had back in the 80's.
Having covered just 99, 000 miles in its 39 year history it has been maintained to the highest standard and the history folder for this car can only be described as impeccable, with every old MOT, and original documentation right down to the bill of sale when new. I have two folders full of invoices and receipts throughout the cars life, documenting just how well it has been cared for. It even retains both sets of keys, sales brochure and full book pack.
Moving onto the car itself I cannot over emphasise just how clean and original it is, starting externally the bronze paintwork is in superb condition and is bright and lustrous, the chromework and trims are also in great condition. Many of these E24's would of been supplied with the infamous TRX run flat tyres which are notoriously hard to source and not particularly good, so a set of period BBS style rims have been fitted during its life all shod with matching Pirelli P zero tyres.
Inside it is hard to believe just how good it really is, and testament to the build quality of these cars, the leather is soft and undamaged with no signs of wear, the dashboard, switch gear and controls also all work probably just as well as they did when new. The systems check computer and trip also still function exactly how they should, with the only modification being an updated stereo capable of USB/ Bluetooth connection.
To drive it is to really appreciate this early 'Barnstormer, it sounds gruff but smooth with the 6 cyl engine pulling effortlessly through the gears and capable of rolling along at 50mph a idle, the kick down and sport mode all work and for a big old car it still gets a move on. The ride is tight, no rattles, no vibrations and I would have no hesitation in driving this car across the continent , it really is that good.
I think it would be hard to find a car more attention grabbing, reliable and practical as a 6 series like this, and I cant imagine there is many with a history and in the condition of this example at a reasonable price point.
