Description
This 924S is an attractive example of Porsche’s modern classic transaxle sports car with an engaging manual gearbox and several tasteful enhancements.
It is finished in Zermatt Silver, over a period ‘pinstripe velour’ interior.
First registered on 1st September 1987, the car combines the handling characteristics of the narrow bodied 924 with the more powerful engine (and brakes) of the 944. It is thought to be one of only around 125 still on UK roads.
Power comes from a 148bhp 2. 5-litre inline-four, paired with an engaging five-speed manual gearbox.
It rides on a set of recently refurbished Porsche ‘Cookie Cutter’ wheels fitted with new Michelin Primacy 4 tyres in October 2022.
Accompanying the car are the original owner’s manuals, service books, tool roll and spare wheel, along with all three original keys (one in a Porsche Classic leather and suede pouch), the original vinyl bag for the removable sunroof panel, the original steering wheel plus a comprehensive collection of MOT certificates, tax discs and countless maintenance invoices dating back to 1997.
It was bought in 2021 by the current owner’s son from a member of The 924 Owners Club (who, in turn, had bought it from another member back in 2011) and - together - they set about a substantial list of improvements totalling £10, 000. This includes:
o New inner and outer sills by Club Autosport
o Sills and front wing repainted by KC Autocolours in Witney

SUMMARY:
This 924S is an attractive and highly usable example of Porsche’s modern classic transaxle sportscar.
