One of only 102 manual gearbox X300 XJRs produced and apparently this car is the only one in anthracite metallic black with an oatmeal interior.
Produced from 1994 to 1997, the X300 greatly enhanced the XJ’s build quality, the engine is a 3, 980cc supercharged inline-six, developing 326bhp and 378lb-ft.
In the eyes of former BBC Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, the X300 was the BEST car in the World. That’s an opinion he probably holds to this day. Back in 1994, he owned a black XJR himself and years later, whilst rating his cars, the XJR was still in his top ten of cars that he’s owned over the years.
First registered 11 April 1997, this is believed to be number 98 or 99 of the 102 made in right hand drive.
The oatmeal leather interior is very well kept for its age and mileage with no rips or tears.
Headlining, a common X300 issue where it sags, is brand new having been replaced in 2024, also, the LCD clock that always fails was replaced in 2024.
The car retains its original factory stereo with CD multichanger in boot.
No electrical, lighting, dial or switchgear faults and no dashboard warning lights are on and the air con blows ice-cold.
This car has been enthusiast owned for most of its life and is presented in stunning condition.
The only modification to this car is the addition of the ‘Andybracket’ for better throttle response and a slight increase in power. This is a very common modification made to the X300.
