Description
Sadly parting with my lovely Series 1. This car is very original and runs very nicely. It has been used to potter about our 400 acre sheep farm and Sunday pub runs but does very few annual miles. It is stored in the dry tractor shed on a concrete floor.
I bought the car in January 2017. The previous London-based owner owned it from September 1993, so it has had two owners in 32 years and has led a fairly sheltered life during that time.
It allegedly has its original engine which was rebuilt in 2013 (invoice in file), the engine number is 212192. I added a new canvas, front seats and parabolic springs amongst other bits and bobs. There are a total of 40 invoices going back to 1993, plus half a dozen MOTs.
The body work has numerous bumps and scratches and hasn't seen paint for decades by the looks of things: the colour is 40 shades of green. Can guarantee it is never going to win any awards at the local show.
The chassis and bulkhead have surface rust but appear to be solid with no immediate work required according to my Series 1 mechanic, and the underside is generally pretty solid. Please see the photos. The car can be viewed on a four post ramp here at the farm.
There is also a spare wheel (not in car when photos were done) and various spares including a wheel bonnet fitting kit.
