Description
The MGC was a 2912cc straight six version of the MGB, sold from 1967 and produced through to August 1969. In the twin SU carburettor form used in the MGC, the 2912ccengine produced 145 bhp at 5250 rpm.
The body shell needed considerable revisions around the engine bay and to the floor pan, but externally the only differences were a distinctive bonnet bulge to accommodate the relocated radiator and a teardrop for carburettor clearance. It had different brakes from the MGB, 15 inch wheels with a lower geared rack and pinion steering and special torsion bar suspension with telescopic dampers.
The MGC Roadster offered here is a March 1968 registered example finished in Blue with Black leather interior. Purchased by its previous owner in 2020 this lovely example has recently undergone a full service this also included fitting a new hood, clutch slave cylinder, new alternator, replacement batteries. Other notable features include; 4 Speed overdrive gearbox, Wire wheels, Driving lamps and Chrome boot rack. I bought the vehicle from a reputable classic car dealership in Oxford who had used it from time to time in car shows however kept it stored in controlled storage at all times. Since that purchase the car has been kept garaged and covered and driven very very occasionally - probably less that 100 miles in the last two years.
