Description
This magnificent 1984 Canadian limited edition Katana is one of only 200 made for Canada and is the 100th of 201 made to honour Suzuki Canada's 10th anniversary. This motorbike belonged to Marc Drouin when it was purchased in 1984: "Marc Drouin (1957 in Quebec - ) is a Quebec author, comedian, singer, composer and stage director. He is best known on the Quebec music scene for writing and starring in the musical Pied de Poule in 1982. "This Katana is listed in the "Category" category on the official "Katana France" website. * I am the only one to own one in France* The monoshock rear suspension is a Full Floater type, the fork is a PDF "Positive Damping Force" anti-dive.
Distinguished by its pop-up headlight, the side lettering says it all: "Katana Aero Dynamics Super Sport"! This is one of the most incredible motorbikes you've ever seen. This is the Suzuki GSX750S Katana limited "100". A little history: It was designed for the Japanese domestic market, but was also sold in Canada, Australia and New Zealand (in Canada, only 200 numbered copies of the 84 version were sold, bearing the red maple leaf flag).
In Europe, only the British importer sold around 100 models, and almost by mistake: following a late order for the previous Katana model, he received a container of Japanese GSX750S3s (equipped with an km/ h speedometer and an 80 km/ h overrun indicator - compulsory in Japan at the time)!
