Description
Rare 1993 Saab 900 Turbo Ruby No. 63 of 150.
3 previous owners.
Service history and book pack. 12 Saab and Saab specialist stamps to over 80k then milage backed up by MOT history.
The Ruby Edition came with the same 185bhp as the Carlsson model but with more subtle styling. 600 Carlsson were made, 200 each in red, black and white but only 150 Ruby models in total were made for the UK market.
Low milage for the age at 104k.
Car is standard and original. Complete with it's unique to this model colour coded bumpers and buffalo leather and zegna wool interior. Red ECU is present.
Running and driving project.
Starts first time every time and runs to temperature with no leaks or engine issues. Gearbox is fine and holds reverse with no problems.
Will need to be trailered away and recommissioned. Rear brakes are binding and will probably need rebuilding and it will need welding to the engine bay floor near the battery tray where I got over zealous with the wire wheel. Earths will need checking and other bits no doubt.
Has had previous welding and paintwork. I had new door bottoms welded in and painted. I replaced the headlining but not to the sunroof. Extra material to finish sunroof on back seat.
Drivers front arch is starting to bubble and a little to the bottom passenger corner of the windscreen. There are bits of lacquer peel to the rear hatch, roof and bumpers which I've touched in with fresh lacquer. She still polished up well.
Used this as my commuter for a year. Great characterfull classic.
Interior is in great condition which is essential with this Ruby only interior, Just a small hole in the bottom of the drivers bolster.
Becker Mexico stereo.
The Ruby models are pretty rare and collectable, especially with this mileage. Think I've priced this fairly. Room for work to be done and extra value to be added
Tried but failed to upload a video of it running this week. Can WhatsApp it to you if you're interested.
Someone wanted to see evidence of the abs light on and then off when running so I've added photos of that and while I was doing that took a photo of it moved onto the pavement to prove it runs and moves.
Any inspection welcome.
