For sale is my 1984 Porsche 924 2. 0 manual in Gemini grey. I bought this car almost 2 years ago, where it had not been on the road since 1998, tucked away in a heated garage.
Having only covered 61k genuine miles it is in excellent condition. It’s had a full recommission with the following work:
New fuel lines front to rear and fuel filter
New fuel pump and accumulator
Rebuilt fuel metering unit
Re-cored radiator
New Timing belt, tensioner, waterpump and aux belt
Brake calipers refurbished, new brake lines and flexi hoses
Alloys powder coated and wrapped in new Toyo tires
New wheel bearings
New battery
New alternator rubber mounts
New plugs/ dizzy cap/ rotor arm
New rear shocks
Exhaust replaced from the manifold back
And many other parts that came with the car etc.
Has had the AAV conversion to manual valve (choke cable operated) and cold start injector wired to a button - common modifications by 924 owners to increase the reliability of the Kjet system and for easy cold starts.
Tax and mot exempt. MOT’d last year (advisory free), the only thing it failed on was a rear wheel brake cylinder that was rectified at the time. Was then serviced with oil, filter and gearbox oil.
Underneath it’s in fantastic condition with no rust or signs of any previous welding.
There are a few age related marks on the body, with some bubbling/ micro-blistering to the paint in certain areas but overall very presentable.
A great car to drive and even has a working electric sunroof! I’ve used it all summer on nice days and hasn’t missed a beat. Many other projects forces a reluctant sale, will be sad to see it go.
