I am reluctantly selling my KR-1S after 13 years as I am reducing my motorcycle collection. This bike won best Kawasaki at a VJMC show and is in amazing condition for a 35 year old bike and is a real head-turner
Engine and gearbox are all good and the bike runs really well as you would expect from a well maintained classic stroker. Sounds great with the fitted Nikon exhaust system and still has great performance to put a smile on your face. Always run on Silkolene fully synthetic 2T race oil and premium fuel
All plastics are original, some minor hairline cracks in places, one ear on the top fairing and one tail unit lug have been repaired in the past to a reasonable standard. One mirror and rear brake disk are pattern parts.
The engine has a slight oil drip from the balance shaft cover, you can live with it, as I have, or the gasket for repair is included.
Comes with old invoices, MoT's and very rare original sales brochure and owners manual. Also print out of the KR1 workshop manual and KR1-S supplement
The bike has had a light restoration including quality respray, powder coat of swingarm, rear footrest hangers and sidestand and mount. Brakes rebuilt with new pistons and seals as required. Custom fibreglass rear seat pad and original seat pad included. Fork oil seals, swingarm and Uni-track bushes and bearings replaced.
