Description
A great condition and much loved example of a later model TVR Cerbera 4000cc Speed Six, finished in the very desirable Iris Blue with a Portland Grey and Prussian Blue leather interior.
The car is fitted with the later Tuscan style seats, 18” Spider Alloys, AP brakes, twin headlights and de cats (with a set of brand new catalytic converters included). The Chassis is original and was confirmed during its recent 12, 000 mile service as having no holes or significant corrosion.
The car has covered 43, 000 miles and has had 4 previous owners before me (including Hexham Horseless Carriages who first registered the car as their demonstrator). I have personally owned the car for the last 18 years and during this time it has always been garaged and has generally only been driven in good weather. It is good all-round condition with the occasional paint chip and small scratch that you would expect to find on a 25 year old vehicle. The car comes with full service history – the last service being a comprehensive 12, 000 mile service undertaken by TVR101 in November 2024 and a full 12 month MOT. This has been a great car to own and drive, its classic lines, stunning interior and gorgeous deep blue exterior - you can't help but look back and smile every time you park.
Perhaps more importantly though it drives, handles and sounds as good as it looks - so its little wonder this car is in the Spears top ten of classic cars to invest in (for anyone considering purchasing this car with a view to export, it will be 25 years old in June)!
Worthy of mention is that in addition to the service history the car comes with a provenance statement from Hexham Horseless Carriages detailing the cars history from when they first acquired it from TVR, it’s ownership history and a brief resume of works undertaken up to when I acquired the vehicle in 2007 (this document was made possible as the three owners before me all brought, serviced and part exchanged the car through Hexham Horseless Carriages). Worthy of note in the cars history is its return to TVR power at @18k miles to be fitted with the later 2002 model speed six engine due to its original pre 2002 engine developing issues.
I am very happy to be able to say how reliable this particular car has been during my 18 years of admittedly low mileage/ garaged ownership (asides from expected service items) I have only had to replace the speedometer transducer, the throttle pedal potentiometer, the drivers door lock solenoid and the engine oil pressure sensor - so no long list of works and repairs carried out by multiple owners just a good, solid, original Cerbera Speed Six. I often say I wish I could keep them all but sadly I need to sell as I desperately need garage space.
