Description
Built 19/ 20 October 1966 and exported to California. Repatriated and fully restored by Austin Healey specialists "Rawles Motorsport" in 2016 / 17. The restoration was comprehensive with the car body being taken back to bare metal, the electrics were totally replaced with the gearbox and overdrive refurbished. The chassis was repaired and repainted with the Body removed. The panels were painted separately. This Healey is finished in Black with Colorado Red two-tone, has a red interior and is much admired. It was converted to RHD during restoration. There is an as new (unused !) hood.
Although I have driven the car almost every week in the dry, very few miles have been added (c 400 / year) since restoration and I have never used it in wet conditions. The car is sold with it's original engine, chassis, body and rear differential with matching numbers and a Heritage Certificate. There is a large History File for Inspection.
The car looks stunning, is in excellent condition and drives really well. The car had a full service at a specialist 250 miles ago - Invoice available.
Although exempt, a new MOT has been undertaken each year - the latest in March 2025 - for "peace of mind). Also included is a new mohair tonneau cover, original hood cover, chrome wire wheels, heater and underneath has all been undersealed. I have loved owning it, it's a beautiful car and it is priced to sell. Recently voted "Best in Show" at the "Lakes Classic Car Show".
