Description
Volvo 240 GL automatic 2. 0L saloon
MOT until March 2026
I am the 4th owner. I will be sad to see it go as this was my first Volvo (of 8 over the years) It has been a wonderful companion and been on several adventures, including a cross country European road trip to Gothenburg in Sweden where it was displayed at the Volvo museum for a celebration of the 240 model.
During the Sweden trip I also acquired a very rare set of rear windscreen louvres which will be included in the sale.
I have owned the car since May of 2018. It has been kept in a barn or garage for the majority of its life with me. Currently I live on the Wirral.
I have done some modifications to the car but nothing that couldn’t be put back to stock if required.
It is the auto and the 2. 0L just to clarify.
Car comes with extensive history from myself and the original owner who kept every piece of paper. Handbooks, log books, workshop manuals. The car lived its entire life in Essex up to the point where I purchased it. It still has the original dealer sticker in the rear window.
Looked after by a Volvo specialist near Chester under my ownership. Car was parked up for a few years under cover in a barn due to other car projects.
In my ownership I have done quite a lot of work to the car.
- All new suspension. Bilstein shocks and Lesjofors springs
- Fitted 15” Virgo alloys
- IPD front and rear anti roll bars
- Full stainless steel exhaust system including headers
- Modern hidden stereo with Bluetooth functionality
- New battery
- New alternator
It has a manual sunroof which is quite rare for the GL model. This was something specifically optioned by the original owner.
Paint and body work are original and show the signs of wear and tear.
Happy to talk more about any details anyone would like to know more about, more pictures on request. Official Volvo owners club folder containing all the service history and reciepts for work done.
Very rare set of rear windscreen louvres included in the sale.
Workshop manuals and handbooks also present.
