1966 MK1 Ford Cortina 2 Door GT Rally
Body work in excellent condition, no rust or dents, with Lotus colours.
This has been a 5 year project to bring the car to this level.
List of what has been done:
- Full rebuilt 1. 6L Pinto engine with high flow oil pump and balanced crank, new bearing and shells, valves etc…
- 1 new twin chokes Webber
- New custom built big bore stainless steel 4 branch manifold, connecting to a new custom sport exhaust that exits to the right side
- High output light weight alternator
- High output starter motor
- New large core aluminum radiator with electric fan, with, manual operation if required
- All new track road ends, bottom mounts, cam belt, with a MK2 Escort refurbished steering rack
Front End:
- 2L Capri struts, springs and discs
- Top adjustable strut mounts for camber
- New hydraulic hand brake
- New pedal box with hydraulic clutch
- New reservoirs
- 5 speed gearbox with balanced prop shaft and new joints
- 2 new rear brake slave pumps
- Sitting on widened Lotus steels totally refurbished with 185 x 60 Toyo racing rubber
- Full rally seats with full harness
- Full instrumentation with large rev counter
This is a rebuilt car and ready to go, with a current inspection.
For the price I am asking you would not be able to rebuild this car to the same level.
