If you are reading this advert then I do not need to explain why some BMW enthusiasts consider the E39 chassis to be possibly peak BMW. I bought this now rare touring model on the 17/ 10/ 16 after a very long search period. It has a good service history from new using mainly BMW dealer/ BMW indy/ local garage and myself as seen in the photos. The car has been garaged all the time, is in very good condition both internally and externally per photos and has been on SORN but regularly started/ driven around the small housing development. As can be seen from the MOT history the car has not done many miles during my ownership and hence I consider it now time to move it on as I don’t see this usage situation changing in the foreseeable future. The car is a supremely comfortable, economical, long distance practical load carrier.
The following spares are included in the sale.
• BMW OE rear hydraulic tail gate pump service kit – new
• 4 off parking sensors (2 straight/ 2 angled) – new - 2 colour coded in Oxford green metallic
• BMW marked Hella oil level sensor – new – should have been installed with recent oil service – my senior moment as I simply forgot
• BMW marked roof bars – used in VGC
• BMW gearbox oil cooler – new
• BMW UHER glow plug module – used
• BMW spare expanding rivets for wheel arch liners
• Replacement pump for rear window washer. New Meyle washer front screen pump fitted this MOT plus brake fluid change using BMW DOT 4 fluid
• Old style ‘loo roll’ CCVV – the car is already fitted with upgraded vortex cartridge type so all good
• BMW Inpa diagnostic disc and cable

• Current MOT at 76005 miles to 01. 04. 26 plus past MOT’s/ bills
• V5C present and number of former keepers listed as 3
• Swirl flap delete was done by previous owner with supporting bill
• The gearbox oil & filter have been changed on 13/ 8/ 21 by Munich Legends using Liqui Moly
• The rear diff oil changed by me in summer 2021 using Liqui Moly
• The exhaust flexi joint changed by local garage @ 75608 miles
• Exide Battery replaced on 4/ 7/ 23. The car battery is trickle charged regularly
• EGR valve was cleaned (very dirty) and EGR cooler/ hoses replaced by me so engine now warms up to temp fairly quickly
• 3 keys supplied plus OE factory/ service handbooks including radio code number
• Both rear doors inner plastic door liners resealed by me to prevent water ingress aka wet carpets
• Air/ oil/ fuel filters changed @ 75933 miles using Mahle filters/ Mobil Oil. Pollen filters OK. No cheap products used here
• 4 off new tyre pressure monitors fitted. Unfortunately got a puncture post fitting so new monitor is now on the spare and hence light dash is on but should go off if the spare is refitted
• The car has been spoilt ie run almost exclusively on Shell V power diesel. In my ownership no work has been done on the fuel injectors as no issues recorded to date
• All locking wheel nut plastic covers are present. They were all missing on purchase. The locking wheel number is 11
• No preventative maintenance work (eg water pump replacement) has been carried out on the cooling system as there have been no issues ie leaks to date. A bottle of Radweld was added in Oct 16 post purchase and BMW approved green coolant used to top up the system post EGR coolant exchanger replacement
• No corrosion around the fuel filler pipe (the usual location) and jacking points. Underneath the car is in very good condition with only one minor advisory per the current MOT certificate
• Brembo front pads fitted in 08-2018 at 72241 miles. The front windscreen rubber is still in good condition ie no cracks
• The walnut Vavona wood trims are in excellent condition ie no fading per photos as I have tried to shield them from the suns damaging UV during my ownership and the coffee cup holder still works. Protective covers to front seats fitted so both in good condition
• Both rear doors BMW logo plastic inner door scuff plates are age degraded and would benefit from replacement. Fortunately they are still available at about £48 each
• Inpa shows rear offside inner parking sensor needs replacement
