1953 XK120SE DHC Left hand Drive Barn Find
I'll keep it simple as the photos should speak for itself, its an amazingly solid car in need restoration or a sympathetic recomissioning job as an oily rag car..
Buyers must see the car to understand just how straight and solid it really is. It came from a hot State so the ravages of time in a hot sunspot did away with the interior and hood years ago, but it was a low mileage car, things like the engine bay and cam covers have stayed fairly bright, it has the grease gun clipped into place under the bonnet... its missing its fuel tank and a rear light lens and half the windscreen, the clocks and gauges are there, but the dash had been removed some point. I had always intended to recommission as an oily rag as it is. It truly is a wonderful find, I have partially fabricated an all alloy hard top for it to replace the hood, which will need finishing and fitting to the car on recommission as an oily rag.
Its a project car, so terms of sale are 'Sold as Seen’. This was a USA Import of many years ago, which I bought off of a good friend here on island, which since its being imported to the island has sat in their dry dehumidified barn for many years since, like a fine bottle of wine improving with age. It still sits in that spot awaiting its Liberation.
Its sadly time to find it a new home.
Come see it, its a really great project car...
It is a Guernsey registered vehicle now, so to register it to the UK should be a straightforward import procedure your having to put it on a Nova @ 5% VAT and then apply for its new V5C via a V52 with DVLA.
