Description
For sale: 1967 Morris Traveller, located near Ipswich, Suffolk.
I'm advertising this Almond Green Traveller 'Godfrey' on behalf of a friend who has owned him for about five years. He was fully rebuilt a number of years ago. This rebuild included new wood, lots of new panels and a full respray. He still looks great now and is solid underneath and the woodwork is still in excellent condition.
Lots of work has been carried out over the past few years with both the current and previous owner including an engine rebuild, a replacement rebuilt gearbox, new front suspension legs along with upper and lower trunnions and tie bar bushes, electronic ignition, new track rod ends, new front wheel bearings and hub seals, new rear brakes and hub seals, new brake master cylinder, new brake servo, new carb needle and jet, new front seat covers and diaphragms, new windscreen seal.
There are a few practical upgrades including telescopic shock absorbers all round, braided front brake hoses and Marina disc brakes. It runs and drives well. The tyres are all recent and are in good condition.
The paint is nice and shiny. It is an older restoration so there are a few little dents here and there, plus some areas where paint has touched in, most noticeably on the aluminium section of the roof.
There's still some scope for tinkering- the load bay/ boot area could do with a new mat and the vinyl side panels at the back are missing. The front parcel shelf could also do with replacing.
If you have any questions, please just ask.
