Description
Morris Minor 1000 1969 in beautiful original condition.
It appears to have been barn stored for approximately 20 years.
Since I purchased it in November 2024 we have recommissioned it and sympathetically restored it to the excellent condition it is in now.
The bodywork is excellent and the chassis and underneath is a good as new. A sills and cross member along with axle carriers are excellent.
It starts and drives without fault.
It is has had a full overhaul of the brakes replacing anything where relevant. The servo is excellent and I never known a Morris Minor stop so well.
It has a stainless steel exhaust which fortunately makes the traditional Moggy exhaust note.
It has been re-trimmed with new carpets and Newton commercial front seats which cost approximately £1, 500.
We believe the engine has been fully reconditioned before storage. All four cylinders have an identical compression ratio of 145.
We have service the engine which included replacing the oil and oil filter.
It will pull comfortably 60+ MPH on an incline. I purchased it from a local who wanted to sell quickly as he needed some money. It looked on the surface to be fairly tatty but had been in a barn for very many years belonging to an old gentleman. A friend of the family sold it to the man I purchased it from,
The tax disc on the windscreen is August 2005.
Since then I presume it has been in storage.
I purchased it in November 2024 and was very positively surprised on how good condition it was in when we started work on it.
I cannot establish how many owners it has had.
