Description

Early Bay originally imported from Australia. Elevating pop top, Bespoke modern painted interior with solid wood worktops & rock & roll bed. Bespoke Rear 3 point seat belts (much safer than lap belts), Blue leather upholstered rear seats. Leather Saab front seats, Bespoke door cards, LED starlight roof. Insulated and sound killer throughout. Laminated wood floor and blue carpets, Wood trim steering wheel and power steering professionally installed by steerlite. Lowered on Billstein shock so comfy more practical drive. Engine fire extinguisher fitted. Tow bar fitted (used for bikes). Waxoyled in 2019. Traditional roof rack included. Leisure battery linked to lights and USB's. Stripey side awning included. Has been kept garaged for the last 11 years. Private plate NOT included. The van is generally in very good condition. It was imported from a dry state so has always been solid structurally. The bodywork has been repaired over the time we have owned it and some places need some further work, only cosmetic. The engine runs fine, starts nicely and purrs along. The power steering and the lowered suspension make it very easy and enjoyable to drive (almost modern) The sliding door needs an interior panel and some work, the double din stereo needs fitting correctly as just slotted in at the moment. We bought this van over 11 years ago. It was imported by a company in Battle East Sussex and resprayed from white to blue and white. We bought it with no interior and two caravan windows in the sides. We converted the van into a very special camper fit for our small family. It was a panel van so had no original interior that we had to work to so we designed a modern looking interior like very few others. We wanted it to be stylish, different and suit what we wanted. I spent many hours making steel brackets so the two rear seats could have 3 point belts as both my boys were young and in the back so safety was crucial and didn't like the idea of the lap belts. The rock and roll bed was adapted so it sat centrally allowing both seats to have 3 point belts. This van has been a big part of our family and my sons have grown up, so much so four childrens books have been published about "The adventures of Whalie the campervan" on Amazon. These are stories of us as a family in the van. We will be sad to see the camper go but we don't use it enough and want it to be used and loved by somebody else. This van is not just known because of the books but due to the interior it is very recognisable and admired. People often want to take photos so they can copy the design.
