I bought this car in November 2023 as a winter car, with the plan to sell it the following spring…. but decided to keep it longer. I bought it with 34000 miles and have added 10, 000. Its first owner had it for 3 years, doing “normal” mileage and its second and only other owner had it ever since, adding lower mileage as evident from the extensive service history.
The bodywork is “fine” but being a black coloured car and over 18 years old it’s not perfect and condition reflects its age. I thought about selling the car again last autumn and had it machine polished, then kept it again! When you see the car it looks really good, but the flaws show as you get closer. Inside, it’s really clean! There is a flaw in the base cushion on the rear bench seat at the passenger side but otherwise very clean.. I keep my cars clean anyway, but interior has been shampooed ready for sale.
It just goes! I have undertaken sensible maintenance but in my ownership it has been totally reliable. If you want a car for running around in, this is good. If you want a car for long journeys, maybe not. Our use is local trips for dog walks…and still using it until it sells.

Genuine Toyota rubber floor mats included, about a year old.
We have a dog cage in the boot currently, not included in sale, but negotiable. There is a full service history, initially with main Toyota dealers then independent garages, It looks like it was serviced irrespective of mileage from the extensive file of receipts. It was last serviced at the end of 2023.
Tyres were fitted when I got it, Avon all round. 4mm front, 5mm rear. I bought the car in Bradford and drove it home to Fife on dodgy old tyres so changed them urgently when I got home! New exhaust silencer and secondary cat a few months ago as a cheap silencer had been fitted previously and it was noisy…this was expensive but worth it.
There is a message on the dashboard when the car starts showing a faulty sensor for automatic transmission fluid temperature…this is a faulty sensor, in an inaccessible place which my mechanic has checked out all all is fine. MOT to Sept 2025. Last MOT passed with no advisories.
