This car is ready for the new owner enjoy. It drives like a Lotus should and sounds great.
Perfect for summer days out and weekends away. All the work has been done to bring this car up to a high standard. The original service book is missing but it comes with a massive history file going back to 1994.
Condition
Bodywork is in good condition and benefits from a respray by a previous owner. There are a few small stone chips but overall is in good condition and polish’s up very well. There are no cracks in the body work. Chassis has been waxoild where possible inside and out.
All the electrics work including pop up lights, electric windows, electric mirrors etc. Only minor problem I can think off is the petrol gauge reads lower than it really is.
The engine runs perfectly and starts easily from cold on the first turn of the key.
All four tyres (Toyo) have plenty of tread – Front ones were fitted in May 2022
Interior – Original carpets have been removed, cleaned and replaced -Good condition.
Leather seats in good condition as is all the interior.
Does the hood leak? Yes – they pretty much all do and it is very hard to find one that doesn’t as the seals need replacing. This has not been a concern to me as I only drive it on dry days for car shows and days out. I own a Lotus Excel for wet days!

• New alternator fitted.
• New improved PNM rear callipers fitted and pads.
• All suspension removed, cleaned, repainted and new bushed fitted
• Suspension laser set up.
• New Front callipers and pads
• New flexible hoses.
• New metal hydraulic pipe for power steering
• New crank pulley
• Hall Effect Cam Angle sensor replaced.
• Side window weather strips replaced.
• Chassis painted and Waxoiled where access is possible.
• New coils, leads and spark plugs.
• All new belts
• Timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler bearing replaced March 2023
• Headlight lifters refurbished with new nylon gears etc
• Two new tyres fitted to front. All tyres have plenty of tread. Toyo Proxes
• New headlights
• Drive shaft CV joints re-greased
• Wheels repainted and new centres fitted
• Gearbox oil replaced.
• New radio with Bluetooth and new speakers fitted.

• Battery isolator switch fittedThis really is a great little British sports car with superb performance and legendary Lotus handling. At the time of it's launch, and possibly still today, it was regarded as the best handling front wheel drive car on the road. The hood folds away very easily behind a panel - no messing about with press-studs etc. A surprisingly large boot which is great to get the golf clubs in or go away on holiday. Perfect for summer days out and enjoying weekends away.
