1986 GSXR 1100 CLASSIC RACE BIKE
I have owned delia for around seven years and was purchased from a garage owner who used to sponsor his nephew on it back in the day! , the bike was originally a stolen / recovered road bike in 1986 when new as was acquired from the insurance company around 1987 and has been a race bike owned by the family/ sponsor ever since , the bike was raced and upgraded over the following years and when by the rider and when he retired from racing the bike remained with the sponsor in his car repair workshop until he retired when his plan was to use it for sprinting however this never happened due to many other projects.
which is when i bought it and brought it back to life .
The spec at present is Harris adjustable yolks with K TECH re valved R6 forks -ohlins remote resevoir shock-mechamax braced swinging arm - Astralite wheels with pirelli diablos Ap racing calipers and master cylinder - brembo underslung rear caliper new skidmarx fairing with race belly pan -promach rear sets- Harris F1 seat unit. The engine spec is unknown however i have had bike on dyno after re commisioning and fitting- a set of new mikuni Rs 36mm flatslides and was pleased to to see over 134 hp at rear wheel ! (not bad for a forty year old bike) so i think it is safe to say it has been tuned - A lithium battery is fitted and yoshimura exhaust.
i have the original forks and swinging arm and fairing along with a mountain of spares which will be included .
There is also a spare frame with v5 if you wanted to put bike on the road .
I have paraded bike at cmrc meetings over the last five years and various other classic events she is totally reliable and wants for nothing and does not miss a beat. reason for sale i have just had right knee replacement and on waiting list for left, so time has come to pass her on.
