Description
Manual Forester XT(en) in regal blue pearl, Low Tax, 92K miles, good documented service history. It is very clean underneath and completely standard.
I have used the car daily for over a year now after purchasing it from a dealer in December 2023, it has been flawless during my ownership. It has had the benefit of comprehensive maintenance to ensure it remains reliable as a daily driver over the coming years.
Private plates are not part of the sale. Most Foresters of this model will be high tax but due to age this is in the lower bracket.
Work under my ownership :
- Timing belt & water pump replaced along with any aging pipes and all service items including Gearbox & diff oil in Jan 2024.
- 4x Hankook Kinergy 4S tyres fitted Jan 2024.
- last serviced in January 2025.
- Headlight internals required refurbished & 2x HID headlight bulbs - Rear propshaft seal was replaced due to minor oil leak.
- Genuine Subaru JDM wind deflectors fitted.
- Kenwood DAB/ Bluetooth head unit fitted (original will also be provided)
- new key cut and coded with immobiliser so 2x working keys provided.
Bad points :
- Cruise control has stopped working but has worked previously.
- Minor chirping from clutch appears occasionally, not urgent to resolve but if I were to keep the car i would do.
- Latest MOT states corroded springs, but garage confirms the underside is in good order despite this and they are not urgent to change this year and check on next mot/ service.
- The car looks excellent from a foot away but on close inspection you will notice a small dent in passenger door, some faded paint on rear bumper, a small scratch on the bonnet and some small scratches.
- 6 previous owners, I was told that it was in the ownership of one family for many years covering multiple owners, analysis of service history stamps supports roughly 4 different groups of garages.
- I have found two years missing history in 2021 and 2022, only a few thousand miles covered over that time.
All in all a standard manual forester in a great colour with plenty of life left if maintenance is continued. A rare find !A WRX on stilts ! very fun and full of character, lovely gear change. A standard manual low milage example that is getting harder to come by now.
