1983 Volkswagen Golf MK1 GTI Lhasa Green

This rare golf mk1 in Lhasa has a complementary green stripe interior with clear glass along with only 5 fastidious previous owners has made this a dream car to own

With No MOT, TAX and ULEZ to pay for it’s cheap classic car motoring especially when classic insurance is only a couple of hundred pounds

The Green paintwork gleaming in the sun is such a pretty sight along with it being nice and straight with the odd blemish but one of the best condition mk1 GTI's that you will find

Still has its original engine with matching numbers. Recent engine work also ensures longevity. It was stripped down, inspected! The cylinder head has been polished and ported along with a rebuild. Was not 100% necessary but everything I have done to the car has not been shy of using time or money to make it right

Mechanically good drives well, even the mpg indicator works when in 5th. The Gearbox has had a full refurbishment in it’s recent history so no worries there either

HPI clear, no signs of any damage or repairs

Mot is or has expired (Will put a fresh MOT on it for new owner even though it’s exempt)

Full history except for a handful of time's it's been off the road/ storage

I bought it in May 2023 on an impulse through ebay. I didn’t even see the car beforehand. I just pressed the buy now button as I was smitten and the car was far away, it did not disappoint and I drove back from Liverpool with a big smile on my face.

Full restoration a few years ago, Lever arch file full of history, photo's, receipts and the original service book. The documentation is extensive and a true testament of a much loved car
