Description
Classic Citroen DS. It's actually an ID20 model.
This car is in really nice condition. No work is needed just drive and enjoy.
The wife and I restored her four years ago. I did all the mechanicals she did the upholstery .
The car is very nice and drives as she should . She is not perfect but as I said very nice.
When I restored her I fitted new Mitchelin tyres. New exhaust. New rubber parts on hydraulic system ect ect. It's was a proper restoration. I did not skimp on parts.
As usual with these cars there was welding. I have restored two 2cV an HY and a Cx in the past and they all needed welding.
I have total faith in this car. Three years ago we took her to the Isle of Man towing our little Eriba caravan. She gave no problems at all. Although this car is mot exempt. I could put it through and MOT if the new owner wanted that.
I can deliver it anywhere. The buyer would have to pay for the fuel and my return train ticket.
I have the log book in my name. I imported her into England 01/ 03/ 21. All taxes and imported duty were payed. You have to or you don't get a British registration.
Lots more information if needed.
As for price? What is this car worth to you? I will consider proper offers.
I have sold my classic cars in the past . I have found that some enquiries are not though out properly. I'm not as grumpy as that sounds. It would simply better if enquires are from genuine buyers. We bought this car to restore it.
These cars are iconic they bring great pleasure to drive.
When we take it anywhere the car brings a smile to people's faces. People walk up and talk to you.
We took the car to The Isle of Man for the TT races. We marshal at this event. We towed our little 1987 Eriba caravan to the island. 3000 to 4000 km on that trip with no problems.
I would like to sell her to someone that want pleasure from driving.
I do have another that I am restoring. I would not want to be without a DS.
My daily drive is a 1989 Cx Citroen so I'm well into Citroen cars.
