Offered for sale is this 1967 DS21 Pallas LHD in Gris Palladium with Rouge Cornaline cloth interior, having left the factory with LHM hydraulic fluid, and one of the last with the 'frogeye' front before the change to faired in headlights was made in late 1967.
Having only two previous owners and having spent some 30 odd years in storage or in restoration prior to my acquisition in 2021 it now has its first MOT and is ready for its new owner.
I have carried out considerable work on this car including chassis work and a complete engine rebuild to compliment the new interior and previous paintwork,
Upgrades include halogen headlights, electronic ignition, inertia reel seatbelts and a new reproduction wiring harness.
It rides on balanced refurbished powder coated wheels fitted with new tyres and tubes.
There are some cosmetic imperfections in the paintwork and panels which is reflected in the asking price, but still it is in excellent overall condition and could be improved if desired. I have been restoring DS's for over 20 years and this car came to my workshop in 2019 from a company that was restoring it, as they could not get it to drive.
As it turned out, there were multiple issues with the car and following several discussions with the owner I agreed to buy it.
It has taken four years to deal with all the mechanical issues and to get it to roadworthy condition, as there was other paying work that got in the way, as it seems to do.
The speedometer was reset to zero to reflect the extensive work that has been carried out hence the low figure listed.
The car was imported in 1970 which is why it is on an H plate, as that is what they did at the time, but it is stated on the logbook that it was manufactured in 1967, so in theory it could be re-registered on an F plate.
The engine is still running in following the rebuild but I am happy to offer test rides for prospective buyers.
