Description
This is a UK supplied Mazda MX5 Mk1 in exceptional condition following an extensive rebuild and bodywork restoration, including rear arches and repaired inner and outer sills. The underside is in excellent condition, very solid and rust free, and has been Dinotrol treated. The turbo installation uses a Kraken manifold and ME221 engine management.
Specification: Kraken manifold and downpipe, T25 turbo, ME221 ECU (a laptop is included with mapping software for on-road tuning via a socket in the glovebox), RX8 yellow injectors, NGK BKR7E plugs, RamAir filter, Linear TPS, AEM wideband sensor and gauge. Boost gauge. IL Motorsport engine mounts. Front mount alloy intercooler. Large alloy radiator. Custom made stainless exhaust with large rear silencer. Approx. 180bhp with standard boast and safe mapping. Lightweight 1. 8 flywheel, 6 puck uprate clutch. 1. 8 diff, prop and half shafts. Polished rocket cover and inlet manifold. BBS wheels 14 x 6. 5 (5 nr) - stripped and powder coated, stainless steel spigot rings & Dunlop tyres 185/ 60/ 14 (5nr) - the spare is unused. Coilovers adjustable ride height and damping. Brake conversation to larger 1. 8 spec, Goodrich braided hoses. New master cylinder and brake pipes (2020).
Mazda hardtop (soft top bag can also be included at a cost). Soft top in great condition (from Mk2) with heated rear window.
GCR1 roll bar with harness bar & certificate for track use. Suede steering wheel. Kenwood DAB & CD player, upgraded speckers & electric aerial.
Electric windows (a little slow). I've owned car since 2023 (brought from neighbour, who previously owned from 2020) with V5 in my name. The paint work is good and highly polished (not quite perfect as there are a few minor chips, scratches & tiny dents, but no rust bubbles). Receipts for manifold and exhaust, full cam belt kit, water pump, discs, pads, tyres, service parts etc.
This car is garaged and only been used in dry weather. Only selling due to ULEZ and I now need something I can use in all weathers.
