Description
This TA21 DHC is believed to one of only about 80 left in the UK. First registered on 8th October 1951 Chassis number 24332, it starts on the button and drives well. A regular attender at the Classic car shows at Amberley museum and many other Sussex shows. Maintained and nurtured by the present owners and garaged inside, but a new owner is now needed to take over for the next twenty years. Minor cosmetic body blemishes hence a realistic price will secure this lovely car. We've had it since 1998 after it was restored by the Bowler family in 1989.
Viewing in central Sussex. Call Jim on the details below for more information or to request more photographs by email.
Under the skin the TA21 benefited from new hydraulic brakes and independent coil-sprung front suspension. Tickford, the famous coach builder later part of Aston Martin, coach built the TA21 into a beautiful cabriolet with a 3 position coupe deville hood (the convertible hood can be open, closed or a mid position with driver's position open-topped and the rear passengers enclosed).
The TA21DHC was one of the early post-war greats. During our ownership much of the mechanical parts have been refurbished and it drives exceedingly well and starts on the button. However, during the twenty five years of ownership, our original restoration of the body has started to look a bit tired and hence the very realistic price.
