Built 31st December 1962 the very first year of the MGB registered 1st January 1963
Originally built for the USA spent fifty years there in a very sunny climate believed just one American owner then brought home to the UK in 2012 purchased by a serious collector in London and owned by him until he passed away recently.
The owner had the MGB repainted to the brighter white is is today as it was originally Old English White when it left the factory, reason given he had two more MGB’s a blue and a red.
Always garaged last on the road 2013 it was then parked up with a host of other classic and vintage cars and motorcycles.
It’s a Super rare MGB Roadster with a fascinating Ownership and history, being in a nice dry hot part of America for its first fifty years and then garaged here in the UK since 2012 the B is in extremely good shape.
It does start and drive however it is sold as is wanting at least new tyres and a shakedown.
The paintwork is generally good however due to the barn door being open the one side and boot paintwork has suffered it is purely cosmetic there is no serious rust anywhere it is very solid. May be the time to return this very special 1962 built Mk 1 back to its original Old English White.
All the panels are lovely the gaps and body lines nice and true, a simple re-paint would add value to it, it wouldn’t take much to do.

In summary this is a Super incredibly rare, straight, solid MGB having being built on the very last day of the very first year of the all new MGB in 1962 and then also registered on the very first day of 1963….. wow!
