Selling my rare 1975 Datsun 100A. I've owned it for a couple years now, I've put a lot of work into it and taken it to many shows all over the country.
It has as been fitted with the much more reliable A12 1. 2L engine from a Datsun 120A Coupe, also found in the 120Y, and other Datsun models of the era. This engine doesn't suffer from premature thrust bearing failure/ crank float like the original A10 engine has a reputation for. A larger radiator has been fitted to accommodate for this, but, the original radiator will be included. The change of engine has been declared and approved by the DVLA, with the new engine number and CC displayed on the V5.
The only other modification fitted is a Cherry Bomb backbox, this has been fitted to the original exhaust pipe using clamps, so the original (and included) exhaust backbox can be refitted without difficulty.
It's a lovely useable classic in good, presentable condition, and in good working order. I've taken it on a 700 mile round trip last year and would trust it to do it again at a moment's notice. It's a complete with nothing missing, with the exception being a non-original parcel shelf and boot carpet.
Many of the spare parts I've collected during my ownership will be included, including a set of Pardat alloy wheels (UK Datsun dealer supplied).
Car is MOT and tax exempt as a historic vehicle, but insurance will be required for any test drives, as I've switched my insurance to another vehicle.
