Description
This 1999 Jeep Cherokee is an absolutely stunning example of a classic American 4x4. I bought this one about a year ago, but with a new baby in the family, I have to streamline the car collection and say farewell to this beauty.
The car is in great condition for its age. It has a full service history. No obvious flaws in the paintwork, which is done up in Deep Amethyst Purple - a colour that looks blue in some lights, and a luxurious deep purple in others. Mechanically it runs very well. I've had the crown ring and pinion replaced in the rear Dana 35 axle, had the distributor and alternator switched out, and replaced the MAP sensor. The car will come with loads of spare parts that are hard to come by and original for the vehicle, so you should have no trouble servicing the car well into the future. The previous owner replaced the heater core and the headlining, and restored the car's head unit to the original factory version. inside and out, this car is an original example with no aftermarket upgrades.
Finally, the car was sprayed, from the factory, with an underbody waterproof coating that was meant to prevent anything from rusting. And thankfully, it has held up. To have a rust-free Jeep Cherokee of this age here in the UK is a very rare thing, and I think, sets this vehicle apart.
Some minor niggles with the electrics that could likely be sorted with ease: one of the bulbs for the dome light needs replacing. The air conditioning fan only works on the highest setting. Everything else is working as it should.
The car has its MOT through February of 2026 and was serviced in Februrary of this year.
