Description
A truly unique 'restomod' MGB Roadster, which has all-modern running gear underneath the classic shell which makes for the ultimate driving experience and year-round usability. It's also surprisingly easy to maintain as all OEM parts have been used (more details below).
This one of a kind MGB has a modern set up and up to date colour combination – Grampian Grey with a contrasting black hardtop and red leather interior. This two-time magazine featured MGB has had a full nut and bolt restoration starting with a stripped-down bare metal shell then built back to this stunning machine I’ve had the pleasure of owning.
It’s never missed a beat and has been used as a company car for my 25 mile round trip commute (no less!), in the dry, but can also be used in all weather if required! For those looking to purchase through their company, the BiK is a very meagre £692 per year (can provide further details on request). MOT/ Tax exempt and low insurance.
An amazing amount of time and precise engineering has been spent on this MG with 200 BHP being sent to the rear wheels via a Garrett turbo twin cam N-Series (much more reliable) and a six-speed manual gearbox. There’s also full Hoyle suspension, all round disc brakes amongst others (there are even USB ports tucked away on the dash, as is the OBD port!). All of this has brought the spec up to a more current usable standard, yet still retaining all the charm and beauty from 70s cars.
As a car it really is a special driving experience with poised handling, reassuring brake set up and engine and exhaust notes that make it truly unique!
It went in for a full health check (passed with flying colours) and around £2k’s worth of engine/ body work at MG Specialist Beech Hill Garage last summer to get the spec as I wanted it. It needs for nothing – the interior is lovely but is not up to the extremely high standard of the rest of the car, hence the price point. This is something that I wanted to get done this summer but am forced to sell due to release some money for my business.
I’m in no rush to sell at all, so please no timewasters/ dreamers/ scammers, you just won’t get a reply. Serious buyers/ enthusiasts only please. I’ll need to see fully comp insurance in order to test drive it. Happy to answer any questions, thanks for looking!
