The time has sadly come for us to have to part with our exceptionally rare and beautiful BMW E46 "Individual Edition" 318 Ci Cabriolet in stunning Estoril Blue metallic. In 2005 this colour was only available at a hefty cost of £5000 and was not a standard option making it an Individual Edition manufactured by BMW M Division. This is a very rare and sort after modern classic, (in many opinions, one of BMW's finest models of its era) The car has been garaged most of it's life which is evident in the condition of its rich and striking paintwork. We can honestly say this car has just been a dream to own and it is only due to now having very young children that it now needs to be moved on to someone who is seriously going to appreciate it for the amazing and rare machine that it is and no doubt put many more miles on the clock. This will suit a real enthusiast! These are only going to start appreciating in value as the next few years go by and will be a credit to the next person who takes ownership of her with the intention of keeping it original and looked after! So a bit about the car -
She has covered just 57, 200 miles on the clock. The car is fitted with a standard smooth traditional 5 speed shortshift manual gearbox which clicks into each gear precisely as it should with a solid strong clutch. The engine is quiet, silky and smooth and the car drives absolutely beautifully without fault. It is precise and drives like the day she rolled out the factory. There is no rust on the bodywork due to its history of garage parking and the car has been cherished and looked after to this day throughout its life. The rear arches which are the first to go on these are prestine inside and out, as are the fronts! Please note - This car has remained completely unmolestered its entire life. . . It is the baby of the range - A 318Ci 2. 0 Litre 4 Cylinder engine, has not been raced around and abused like many of the higher powered examples, but packs the perfect amount of power and acceleration to put a smile on your face. The part we will miss most about it!
The car is a real head turner and regularly complimented by people who appreciate what they're looking at. . . It has contrasting grey leather interior, with an exclusive carbon effect dashboard trim, electric folding roof in a stunning navy blue canvas in good condition with no rips or tears. The roof could do with a professional in depth clean up with the right products but nothing that needs repairing. It is fitted with 18" MV2 Wheels as standard which are in good clean condition. There are a couple of very minor scuffs and a patches of bubbling between the spokes but again, very small. It currently sits on 4 pirelli tyres, all of which are in excellent condition with many miles of tread. One is brand new and has just been fitted due to sidewall swelling on the original. It's main features include, Individual Estoril Blue paintwork, Grey leather interior with twin heated seats, electric folding roof, 6 CD changer in the boot, cruise control, M- Sport Steering wheel with audio function controls, roll overhead protection system on rear seats, removable wind deflector, front seat leg extenders, 2 sets of keys, remote locking and alarm system, full toolkit in boot, driver and passenger airbags, climate control and folding mirrors.
As to be expected by the realist being a 2005 car there are a few minor areas to mention, there are a few minor stone chips on the bonnet if you look hard, but nothing you wouldn't expect for a car of its age and nothing that catches the eye. There is a small light scratch on the side of the rear bumper and front corner of the apron but again, these are only noticeable if you're looking for them. Refer to photos! The interior is tidy and clean and in excellent condition but there is some signs of wear on the centre arm rest and the typical discolouration on the driver seat bolsters but again these are minimal and to be expected. Recent advisories are few but should be mentioned. . . . A slight judder from the offside wiper blade, a defective exhaust mount and a slight misting of oil on rear shock absorbers.
The car has been priced based on examples of similar age and mileage with consideration for its unique specification and condition. You will be hard pushed to find one like this.
The right buyer will be encouraged to see and drive the car before buying. Please note we are not interested in callers who just "want to know the best price!" or time wasters. This is a serious sale aimed for a true buyer/ enthusiast. The car has a full BMW service history between 2005 (year of production) through to 2012 at 27, 798 miles. This was done at Stratstone BMW. From then to the present day it was serviced at a BMW specialist in Horsham where we purchased the car 2. 5 years ago. The car was in fact purchased brand new from the dealers spouse and ordered to specification. After many years of her ownership, it was sold by her husbands garage in Horsham on more than one occasion in 2 to 3 yearly periods having been part exchanged back to them by returning customers. The log book shows 7 owners but please note that a number of these include the dealership themselves taking back ownership between sales. We believe we are the 4th owners. The last service was done locally in April last year. It has an MOT until September.
