Reluctantly, here for sale is my 1978 Porsche 928. It's the 4. 5L non interference engine with the 3 speed auto. Guards red with black and white pasha. I've had the car since September, in that time it hasn't needed for much, only a new battery. The day I picked it up I did just shy of 275 miles home, for a few months it saw occasional use but spent most of its time in a garage, however since the new year, when not using my work car, I've been using it as my daily driver, with no issues, and done over 1000 miles total since buying it. It's currently on 195, 250 miles, however this will go up a little.
Body work is a little rough and faded, however never fails to turn heads and attract attention wherever it goes. Interior is great apart from a rip on the side of the drivers bolster and a cracked dash, like they all are. It starts on the button cold, hot, warm and doesn't suffer with any hot start issues, revs out beautifully and is great fun to drive Doesn’t smoke at all under heavy acceleration etc. All lights work, electric windows work, blower is intermittent, haven't looked into it. There is a little bubbling around the rear wiper on the hatch, apart from that, it's a very solid car.
The car was in storage from 2009ish-2021 and had a lot of work carried out to be but back on the road, all the belts, water pump, cap, rotor plugs, leads, new radiator, thermostat, reburbed wheels, new tyres, Some other bits too. Car comes with its original owners manual, and a folder with other paper work, including parts bought, MOT slips etc.
It's been a great car, and one which i never thought I'd own, however with summer rolling round, would like to move it on as i've got a few other projects I'd like to put money towards. Its not perfect, hence the price, but been a great beast, and a very useable 928, time for someone else to enjoy.
