Purchased in 1984 and held in the same ownership for 41 years. This is a completely original unmolested example that has had regular servicing carried out. Full documented service history. Mainly main dealer stamps and receipts. Original handbook, bill of sale and service book are present. Originally purchased brand new in 1983 from Arthur Price VW in Loughborough as one of the first 5 speed 1. 8 GTi's (DW chassis code) imported into the UK and where the BBS body kit and lowered Bilstein suspension was fitted. It also has a factory tilt and slide sunroof, trip computer and A post finishers. It has had some welding done around the rear shock towers but is otherwise sound. A full glass out respray was conducted in 2001. The drivers seat cloth is worn through on the side bolster, the tilt mechanism is not working and the drivers door bin has become detached. It has normal wear and tear for it's age.
