Suzuki GSXR 750L Slingshot restomod
this is a very special, show winning custom bike, that won "bike of the year" in classic motorcycle mechanic magazine
it started life as a black and silver 750L
it has been completly stripped and rebuilt with modifications to make it ride like a more modern bike and give it the restomod look, that only if you know what you are looking at you will see and appreciate the modifications
much admired on the specials and suzuki forums
modifications as follows
bodywork, original panels repainted in the triple blue and white, but with slight fleck, rear under tray by fibreman
front end, original front end has been replaced with the black anodised units from a GSXR1000K4, along with the wheel front mudguard , clipons and brakes
radial front callipers, and new wavey discs
titanium top yoke nut
rebuilt callipers
braded lines
rear end, suzuki GSXR 1000 swinging arm, Hayabusa linkage to get the correct arm to spring ratio, bandit shock, GSXR 1000 rear wheel and brakes with 190 section BSB tyre, one off dog bones
engine
flat slide carbs, just rolling road set up and produces 99bhp at the rear wheel (approx. 120bhp crank)
offset sprocket carrier to enable the use of the wider tyre
carbon effect non pressurised airbox, and yoshi side covers
micron 4-2-1 stainless exhaust and carbon can
geometry has been set 40mm lower on the front end and 30 mm high on the rear
side mounted steering damper to stabilise the tighter front end geometry
there will be muck more that i have forgotten
