Description
I'm selling my little blue MG. I have a few motorcycles which means on the sunny days I generally go to them which means she doesn't get used as much as I'd like. She was bought for my wife but she now has a different car so I think we've only done about 2000 miles in the two years that we've owned her.
She is dry stored in a unit with my other cars and bikes.
I recognise there are lots of these for sale and prices are variable, however I'm confident that mechanically this is an excellent car. The car runs and drives perfectly nice and smooth up and down the gears, excellent brakes and runs to perfect temperature.
If you look through the old MOT history which I'm sure any buyer would, you will see that there was some advisories related to under body corrosion. A common fail point with these cars is the subframe mounting bolts, which in this case have been replaced by anodized stainless steel aftermarket fixtures. I've included pictures in the advert.
Other than this I believe the car to be absolutely standard. It is the 135 model with the nice alloys. I didn't paint them black, they were like that when I bought the car, I had intended to revert them to the original alloy but never got round to it.
I had brake pads and discs replaced all round a couple of months ago and these have just been bedded in with a little bit of driving. These were an advisory on the MOT check in March so have been replaced in time for selling.
The paint work on the 20 year old car has various marks and things and this is reflected in the price. The body work is absolutely solid.
The car comes with a factory hardtop in black and a black tonneau cover.
There is a lot of history and receipts for the car to show its upkeep. Most recent is £900 for brakes and mounting bolts. You can see the old ones in the picture. On these cars now 20 years old, they do need mended.
