2005 Mazda 'Arctic' MX-5 NB - One Owner to 2024

MX5 MK2. 5 Arctic - One lady from new up to 2024 with just 41, 500 genuine miles.

For sale is my 2005 Arctic MK2. 5 (NB) in stunning Razor Blue complete with a quality mohair soft top and matching factory supplied hard top, all in excellent condition. I cannot stress enough how genuine a car this is considering it is 20 years old, attracting excellent provenance and service history, rather than being a multi-owner, high mileage, modified example.

I purchased the car a year ago from the original lady owner, the car being pre-registered by the dealership as can be seen on an old V5. The car still carries the original dealer number plates, and all its factory body panel and engine bay identification tags. The car was predominately for my wife, but it has had minimal use and was garaged all winter only recently emerging from hibernation for an MoT and service. We have decided to sell as my wife now barely drives. Everything is as it left the factory bar the side indicator chrome ring surrounds which the factory should have included.

Whilst in our ownership, I have ensured the water drainage holes behind the seats and next to the fuel cap have been regularly cleaned by passing through a trombone cleaning brush. I have also ensured the sill pinch holes remain clear and the sills are in excellent condition. Soon after purchase I replaced a front caliper and both front discs along with new pads. Prior to the recent MoT the car was fitted with a replacement Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve. After passing the MoT I was advised to renew a rear caliper so this has been done. I also took the opportunity to have the car serviced for the new owner. All tyres are matching Dunlop, have plenty of tread and passed the MoT but they are 12 years old. I can fit a new set of tyres, but the new owner may have their own preference of range and brand, so I will make an allowance for 4 new tyres in any negotiations.

The car drives as you would expect. I have only ever used premium fuel to clean and ensure the engine’s optimum performance and efficiency.
