Citroen Cx Series 1 Super 2400. LHD
I have owned the CX since 2018 when it was imported from France and registered by myself. The car is in fantastic condition, especially underneath, and the interior is in 'timewarp' condition with original Citroen floor mats and unmarked gold velour upholstery.
The colour is Citroen 'Dryade' green.
Very low recorded mileage of 94726 km / 59, 200 miles.
This is commensurate with the condition of the car.
When I purchased the CX all of the spheres were replaced and the hydraulic system was flushed and serviced. The front and rear brakes were stripped and rebuilt, and the handbrake was set-up. All of the work was carried out by a CX specialist mechanic.
The car drives perfectly with the original early CX suspension set-up and Diravi self-centering steering. The engine is quiet and smooth with clean oil. The transmission is quiet with a smooth gear change from the four speed box. The electrics are good and everything works - even the clock.....
I have the louvered rear window accessory ( I can never decide if it looks better with or without ) and the car also has an optional air dam which fits over the bonnet air intake - probably only required in a hot climate. Optional front window air diffusers are fitted.
I have driven the car in the summer months only, and it has been dry stored over the winter during my ownership. I think it would be hard to find a better example of an early CX - it is a drive anywhere car.
There are two things that may require attention in the future :
The front LH electric window has stopped working, but I will try and sort this in the next couple of weeks.
There is a very small area of corrosion where the rear glass panel meets the rear wing - not major but something worth sorting.
The car doesn't have a stereo fitted (still the original CX panel).
It would be straightforward to fit one.
I have owned several Citroens over the years including various CX models and this is the best by far. I am only selling the CX as I need to reduce the size of my car collection.
The CX is registered as historic so tax and MOT exempt.
