The car underwent a full recommission programme by a Porsche specialist in June last year. The car was dry stored for a number of years in a car collection and was used very little. Hence the very low miles.
The car had a full and very thorough inspection from a Porsche specialist, all the recommendations and advisories on the report were completed. Only Genuine Porsche parts were used and NO corners were cut.
The recommission was extensive and costly to get EVERYTHING perfect with no expense spared costing £20, 000
The works included -
Remove engine to fit new Camshaft chain tensioner on bank one cylinders 1-3
Reset engine timing and re install engine, bleed coolant system, power steering system, check engine timing deviation is in spec and test drive

A borescope was put inside each cylinder to check for bore wear and the results are said to have been “excellent”.
Install new EPS IMS bearing upgrade including rear main seal, gearbox bolts, flywheel bolts, clutch bolts, sealing rings and waste oil disposal.
The old one was fine but thought it made sense to upgrade it anyway as the engine was out.
Fit new coolant hoses, waterpump, thermostat, and coolant.
New Clutch
Carry out a full engine service including filters and fresh oil, brake fluid, and six sparkplugs and matching Beru ignition coil packs, and auxiliary drive belts.
Fit a new battery and alternator, drive belt, deflection rollers and tensioners.
Oil/ air separator, breather hose and valve.
Replace front and rear brake discs, pads, wear sensors, and shims with new items.
Install new inner and outer tracking arms.
Michelin Pilot sport PS2 tyres all round, 4 wheel alignment
Fit a new exhaust manifold to catalytic converter and new silencers including the fittings. New hardware and lambda sensors.

If you are looking for an early 996 make sure that all the key maintenance work has been carried out recently, there is no such thing as a cheap Porsche! The work carried out on this 996 offers peace of mind and worry free motoring for many years for the new owner as everything has been done.
