Description

This Porsche 911 type 964 Carrera 4 coupé, delivered in France (code C05), has its original Porsche service book documented to this day, which specifies its delivery date: 13 March 1991.
This year, 1991, and particularly this month of March, marks the delivery of the very last models in phase 1: these are the last 911s without airbags, recognisable from the phase 2 (double airbags standard from April 1991) by their front glovebox, allowing the perfect alignment of the 5 original knob-drawers to be respected for the last time in the history of 911s, and also to retain the famous Porsche classic type steering wheel with 4 horizontal spokes.

- Replacement of the front brake pads, warning lights and brake fluid, - Replacement of the cylinder repair kit for the 4x4 transmission coupler, - Replacement of the ignition coil, - Replacement of the rack, front bellows and 2 steering knuckles, - Replacement of the Transalxe, - Replacement of the universal joints, - Replacement of 2 front tyres and removal of the 4 wheels, - Overhaul of the gearbox, front axle and rear axle,
- Engine sealing work with removal and refitting, - Replacement of the 3 belts and the twin igniter, - Replacement of the rear spoiler gearbox bearing, - Complete shining of the paintwork, - Painting of wheel rims and replacement of rims, - Deep cleaning and nourishing of the interior leathers, - Maintenance and restoration of the ventilation/ air conditioning system, - Replacement of the battery, alternator and battery switch (November 23).

In 2024, other more minor work was carried out, including (approx. €5, 000):
- Replacing the gearshift ball joint and rod, - Replacing the steering oil reservoir and hose, - Replacing the front and rear universal joint and gearbox bellows, - Replacing the front indicator unit, - Replacing the timing chain hydrolytic tensioner, - Replacing 2 rear wheel arm tie rods, - Replacing 2 rear tyres with alignment, - Reworking the door pans.

The car is finished in attractive black paintwork with a full black leather interior, an optional electric sliding roof, on-board computer and air conditioning, and is fitted with 17-inch Cup wheels and Cup-style mirrors. Very pleasant to drive, it retains the directness and beauty of an eye-catching classic, and provides the comfort of a modern one (power steering, electrically controlled front seats, air conditioning); for these reasons, the 964 is well defined as a "modern classic", very easily usable in daily use. This 964 is regularly serviced at ART Restoration, with the last current service carried out in May 2024 at 180, 338km on the clock.
The car's history shows regular and sustained servicing at CASTELLET MOTORSPORT and MCG PROPULSION, among others.
Its recent roadworthiness test (27/ 02/ 2025) revealed no faults. For this sale, a final check-up was carried out by ART Restoration in March 2025 with 185, 410 km on the clock, with no work required. Registered as a collector's car, this model will be 34 years old this month and will be able to drive in all urban areas, even the most ecologically restrictive. This car has given me pleasure quite frequently and without any driving constraints, over the last 2 years and its 13, 000 km covered, thanks to its thorough restoration.
