Description
It is with a heavy heart that I sell my beloved Jensen Healey, but the desire for an Interceptor is just too big and I can’t have both.
‘BABS’ is a 1974 MK2 in Buttercup Yellow and was subject to a 4 year documented bare metal restoration in early 2000. She was then the personal car for 4 years of a well known and respected Jensen specialist, who travelled with her across the UK and Europe.
In the 3 years that I had her, I have had 2 small rust areas sorted professionally at the inside lip of the boot, she has had yearly oil changes, MOT’s and other regular maintenance and had a big engine service at a Lotus specialist in Edinburgh in 2024 who thought she was ‘in fine fettle’. The electrics and fuse box have also been checked and refreshed by an automotive electrician.
Fitted with a standard 2 litre Lotus 907 16 valve engine and a 4 speed with overdrive on 3rd and 4th. I also fitted a big aluminium radiator and high torque starter motor. She has new seats, a working clock and a working and modernised Jensen 8 track radio. She also comes with a hardtop, tonneau and rear deck cover and some service and emergency parts I always carry on long journeys such as spare fuel pump, brake repair kits, accelerator cable etc.
The car comes with V5C, Jensen Motors Statement of Origin, sales brochure, 2 big folders with receipts and history and a parts catalogue and workshop manual. I also have a lot of information on the computer so happy to put that on a memory stick.
The car is well known in Jensen circles and featured in various Jensen Owners’ Club magazine articles and videos (YouTube channel ‘Mark’s Daimler and Jensen’).
She is obviously very well looked after and ready to go and has a new MOT with no advisories.
£16, 500 or offers invited.
