1957 NSU Prima

Balance problems mean that I shall not be able to ride this, even if I finish it so here it is for sale. One of these was my first scooter back in 1963 and I hoped to relive those days. The Prima has great Patina - the piston is stuck through lack of use but soaking in diesel/ paraffin mix. The Old log book is with the papers and there is included a very large box of mechanical spares. There are also included, parts book, factory manuals, workshop manual - see photos
This would be an easy resto where you can retain the originality - all it really needs is a very good clean up and a mechanical recommission, in my opinion. Please phone or email any questions
Only the green Prima is for sale, the others were sold off. More photos can be provided is required - good home wantedThe rust spots as you can see are just surface rust from where it has been standing-the bodywork and frame are sound. I wanted to try and keep it as original as possible and my "spray mates" suggested a method of rubbing down the spots and polishing the surrounding paint. I have tried this on various panels and it works ( for me , that is). I cannot see anything wrong with the Prima other than the stuck piston . A sympathetic removal of the bodywork , a good clean up and a recommission and she would be a little honey. The seats are usable, BTW. The head light is missing, so I have just noticed.
The spares came from a guy who converts scooters to electric power so all the mechanical bits are there, cleaned and in good order. The Reg no is non transferrable - good. I have been collecting books and stuff as well, there are 2 factory manuals, a parts book and small workshop manual, an advert , some notes on the batteries and some other bits.
As to a price breakdown, in my estimation - well, there was one sold last October at Mathewsons for £1250 + costs of course - it was better looking than mine so I would say - £800 odd for the scooter - £450 for the spares ( the silencer alone is worth over £100 and the books say £150 ( check the prices on ebay) . Oh Yes, I forgot to mention that there are a set of alloy legshield embellishers , spare tank and fuel valve, spare wheel carrier and some other bits.
