New £1000 mohair hood by Car Hood Warehouse, Sevenoaks
Exceptional service/ maintenance history which I'll list below.
Completely standard bar DTR SS twin-oval exhaust (that's my understanding).
2000 car imported from Germany in 2002 by specialists DTR European Sports Cars.
First UK owner from 2002 to 2024 - yes, one meticulous owner for 22 years.
I purchased it this year from Italian car specialists AutoCapozolli near Yeovil, but given the recent light damage I've decided classic car ownership is not for me without permanent storage availability.
I paid £6k for the car which I thought it was very reasonable given the condition, low mileage, documented history and new mohair hood.
Three weeks ago the car was side-swiped while parked. The front wing has a slight indent, the bumper is slightly mis-aligned (but not structurally damaged) and obvs the paintwork is damaged. I have been quoted £1200 to repair.
Edit - I have added two pictures following a polish of the bodywork to remove the bumper/ scrape marks. Faultless history/ maintenance record as follows
18 service stamps with supporting documentation/ invoices - see photographs, easier than typing it all here!
A staggering four cam-belt changes the last with DTR & 86k kms (4kms ago) July 2021 and yes, the variator has been changed at least once.
The car has also received preventative waxoyl treatments over the years.
MOT until February 2026
The car last failed an MOT in 2011 with insecure steering gaiters and before that in 2007 with inoperative lamps - impressive.
You may see mileage issues caused by failure to record the mileage correctly - kms/ miles. The odometer records in km. The speedo is both btw.
Oh, still has the original radio and instruction booklet.
V5c present and in my name.
Viewing Penarth near Cardiff.
Genuine enquiries please - this must be one of the best Barchetta's available - strictly no offers, no swaps, no nothing other than cash or bank transfer.
Don't hesitate to buy at this price.
NB The speedo is temperamental - no doubt a dry connection and fairly common issue
